I haven’t collected any of McFarlane’s DC Multiverse figures up to this point, and didn’t expect I would. I saw this figure, inspired by Batman’s first appearance in 1939 at a Best Buy a few days ago. While I thought it looked cool, I left it on the shelf. Then I watched Batman: Caped Crusader on Amazon Prime, and damnit, I wanted a figure of that Batman so bad!

I’m so used to the articulation of Hasbro’s six inch scale figures that the differences here surprised me, but he still poses pretty well. And Holy $#@&, Batman! The wired soft goods cape is soooo nice.

I appreciate the look they were going for with the purple gloves, but I’m planning to dye or paint them black when I get the chance. Might also apply a dark wash to the figure, and I’ll probably tweak the bat symbol on his chest, giving it some ears.
