Spirit & Freedom (Classified)

G.I. Joe occupied a larger part of my childhood than any other IP. My life, inasmuch as childhood revolved around playing with friends, was all about collecting and playing with Joes and Cobras. When Hasbro debuted the Classified line, I was… underwhelmed. I didn’t like the modern/futuristic redesigns; I preferred a more classic and retro aesthetic. The appeal, after all, was supposed to be based on nostalgia. But I thought all my nostalgia for G.I. Joe was spent with the 25th anniversary line. TL;DR — I wasn’t going to collect Classified. And then, during PulseCon 2021, Hasbro revealed this Spirit figure, and I knew I must have him. I love everything about this update. This figure single handedly made me a Classified collector.
